£65,000 to £80,000 per annum (DOE) | Permanent, full time

A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in London is looking for a CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified Private Client Tax Manager to take full ownership of a varied portfolio of high net worth individuals, trusts and estates.

The client base is technically demanding across income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and trusts, and the firm has a strong record of developing and retaining tax talent, with a defined pathway to Senior Manager. Crowe Watson Recruitment works exclusively within the accountancy profession and knows the London private client market well at this level.

What's the day to day of the role:

• Managing a portfolio of private clients including HNW individuals, trusts and estates
• Advising across income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax
• Reviewing self assessment tax returns and overseeing the compliance process
• Acting as a key point of contact and building trusted client relationships
• Mentoring junior members of the tax team and liaising with HMRC as required

Required skills and qualifications:

• CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong private client tax background
• At least six years' experience within a UK Practice environment
• Proven experience managing a portfolio of HNW private clients
• Strong knowledge of UK personal tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and trusts
• Confident client facing manner, organised and able to manage competing deadlines
