Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm
We are recruiting for an experienced Safety & Facilities Manager to manage a portfolio of commercial properties across Kent and Essex. This is a hands-on, client-facing role, with around 60% of the week spent visiting sites. You’ll be responsible for ensuring properties are safe, compliant, well maintained and operating to a high standard.

We are recruiting for an experienced Safety & Facilities Manager to manage a portfolio of commercial properties across Kent and Essex. This is a hands-on, client-facing role, with around 60% of the week spent visiting sites. You’ll be responsible for ensuring properties are safe, compliant, well maintained and operating to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day hard and soft facilities management across a commercial portfolio.
- Ensure statutory, health & safety and compliance requirements are met.
- Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments, ensuring actions are completed.
- Manage planned and reactive maintenance programmes.
- Oversee contractors and service partners, ensuring quality and performance.
- Build strong relationships with occupiers, clients and property management teams.
- Support service charge budgets, expenditure monitoring and forecasting.
- Drive environmental, energy and waste management initiatives.
- Respond to emergencies and operational issues as required.
- 3+ years' experience in a similar Facilities Management role.
- Commercial property experience preferred.
- IOSH qualified; NEBOSH desirable.
- Strong knowledge of H&S, statutory compliance and contractor management.
- Experience managing budgets/service charges across multiple sites.
- Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fully IT literate and comfortable working independently.
- Full UK driving license required.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Kent and Essex.
