Building Services Engineer (Plumbing Bias)

Are you an experienced Commercial Plumbing Engineer looking for a varied mobile role with a growing Building Services business?

We're seeking a Building Services Engineer with a strong plumbing background to join our team, delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and providing high-quality maintenance services within a professional and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Attend reactive maintenance and breakdown calls.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to plumbing and associated plant equipment.
• Maintain hot and cold-water systems.
• Service and repair pumps, valves, pipework, expansion vessels and drainage systems.
• Undertake minor installation and refurbishment works.
• Complete service reports and maintenance records accurately.
• Ensure all works are completed in line with health and safety regulations.
• Liaise professionally with clients, subcontractors and colleagues.

Requirements

Essential:

• NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing & Heating or equivalent.
• Proven experience within commercial building services maintenance.
• Strong plumbing fault-finding and repair skills.
• Experience working on hot and cold-water systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Desirable:

• G3 Unvented Hot Water Qualification.
• Water Hygiene Awareness.
• Knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building services.
• Experience using CAFM systems.
• Multi-skilled building services experience.
