Are you a Senior Flood Risk & Hydrology Consultant looking for more technical responsibility and exposure to complex projects? This London role combines hydraulic modelling, hydrology and flood risk work with the opportunity to lead projects and develop towards Principal level.

The Opportunity

A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking for a Senior Flood Risk & Hydrology Consultant to join its established water team. You will work across major UK and international projects, remaining technically hands-on while taking increasing responsibility for delivery, clients and junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver flood risk, hydrology and hydraulic modelling projects
* Develop and review hydraulic models and Flood Risk Assessments
* Undertake hydrological assessments and technical reporting
* Support climate adaptation and water environment studies
* Manage project delivery and communicate directly with clients
* Work alongside multidisciplinary engineering and environmental teams
* Review work and support junior consultants and modellers
* Contribute to proposals and tender submissions

Candidate Requirements

* Strong consultancy experience in flood risk and hydrology
* Hydraulic modelling experience using TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, InfoWorks ICM or similar
* Good understanding of FEH hydrology and UK flood risk assessment
* Strong technical reporting and client-facing skills
* Experience managing projects or individual workstreams
* Chartered or working towards Chartership would be advantageous

Why Apply?

This Senior Flood Risk & Hydrology Consultant role offers greater technical ownership without moving away from hands-on project work, alongside a clear route towards Principal level. The salary is £50,000 - £60,000, with flexible working and a strong benefits package.
