We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at Gulf, for a talented communications professional to step into a brand-new global position, shaping the communications approach from the ground up while leading internal and external communications, PR activity, corporate storytelling and stakeholder messaging across a global group environment.

SALARY: up to £65,000per annum + Annual Performance Bonus (10% of Base Salary) + Benefits
LOCATION: Hybrid. Working from the Office in London (SW1Y) 3 Days per Week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) and 2 Days from Home (Thursday and Friday)

JOB OVERVIEW
This is an excellent opportunity for a Communications Manager to make a real impact in a newly created global role, putting their stamp on the communications function while covering PR, internal communications, external communications, corporate content and senior stakeholder support.
As the Communications Manager, you will develop and deliver proactive communications and PR activity across international markets, helping the organisation communicate clearly and consistently with employees, customers, partners, media contacts and other key stakeholders.
The Communications Manager will identify positive news, business updates, partnerships, people stories and corporate achievements, turning them into engaging communications that support profile, reputation and brand consistency across multiple channels.
DUTIES
Your duties as the Communications Manager include:
- PR Strategy and Media Relations: Develop and implement proactive PR and communications plans aligned with business objectives
- Media Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, trade publications and relevant media organisations
- Press and Corporate Content: Prepare press releases, corporate announcements, media statements, news stories, briefing documents, key messages and Q&A materials
- Internal Communications: Develop a structured internal communications programme, including employee updates, leadership messages, town halls, announcements and business transformation communications
- External Communications: Manage corporate news and content for external channels, including the website, social media and corporate publications
- Corporate Storytelling: Identify newsworthy developments, interview employees and stakeholders, and create compelling stories, case studies, articles, newsletters, speeches and presentations
- Executive Communications: Support senior leaders with communications planning, content and messaging aligned with strategy, values and corporate positioning
- Stakeholder Management: Work collaboratively with senior management, regional teams, agencies, media partners, creative suppliers and external stakeholders
- Communications Reporting: Monitor media coverage and provide regular reports on communications activity, outcomes and results
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or a related field
- Proven ability to manage communications across international markets, ensuring clear, consistent and culturally aware messaging across multiple regions and stakeholder groups
- Strong social media expertise
- Proven ability to develop strategy and deliver measurable results
- Experience managing agencies and stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Ability to write clear press releases, blogs, speeches and copy for different audiences
- Ability to align messaging campaigns with business goals and brand identity
- Ability to handle unexpected public relations issues and protect organisational reputation
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong editing and proofreading abilities with excellent attention to detail
- Experience managing digital communication channels and social media platforms
- Strong skills across multi-channel content platforms, basic SEO and analytics tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines
- Experience using content management systems, email marketing platforms and Microsoft Office
- Experience coordinating multi-platform publication timelines, agencies and cross-functional teams
- Creative approach to communication solutions that engage audiences and support organisational objectives
- IT literate with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Project and Excel
- First-class presentation skills
- Commercially astute and customer focused
- Action-oriented, flexible, innovative and results driven
- Able to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with fluent English
DESIRABLE
- Experience in media relations and reputation management
- Experience managing communication during organisational change or crisis situations
- Membership of a relevant professional communications body
