Client Service Team Leader – Wealth Management
London | £55,000–£65,000 + Up to 12% Bonus
A growing Chartered financial planning firm is looking for an experienced Team Leader to manage its expanding Client Service Team.
The team has grown from four to nine people following several acquisitions. The business now needs an established people manager who can provide structure, oversee workloads and help team members deliver a consistently high standard of support to Financial Planners, Paraplanners and their clients.
This is a hands-on leadership position combining people management, workflow oversight and operational improvement.
The role
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day performance and development of the Client Service Team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and supporting a team of Client Service Associates
- Allocating work and overseeing team capacity
- Monitoring workloads, deadlines and service standards
- Conducting regular one-to-one meetings and team check-ins
- Managing appraisals and individual development plans
- Supporting the training and development of team members
- Identifying performance issues and addressing them constructively
- Ensuring client servicing work is completed accurately and efficiently
- Resolving or escalating complex operational issues
- Working closely with Financial Planners, Paraplanners and senior stakeholders
- Improving systems, processes and ways of working
- Helping the team integrate effectively as the business continues to grow
What we are looking for
You will need established experience managing a team within financial services. A background in financial planning, wealth management or investment administration would be particularly relevant.
You should have:
- At least two years’ experience leading or managing a team
- Experience conducting one-to-ones, appraisals and performance conversations
- Strong workflow and capacity-management skills
- The ability to develop and motivate colleagues
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
- The confidence to make decisions and take ownership
- Experience improving processes or team performance
- A collaborative, supportive and accountable management style
Knowledge of Intelliflo or a comparable financial planning system would be advantageous.

The firm is an established Chartered financial planning business with more than £2 billion in assets under advice, 51 Financial Planners and approximately 110 employees.
