Robertson Bell are supporting a forward-thinking, renowned, Education institution based in London to recruit an Interim FP&A Lead on a six-month contract.

This is an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified accountant with strong financial modelling and analytical skills to join a dynamic Finance function. The role will have a strong technical focus, supporting a range of financial modelling, commercial analysis and financial sustainability projects.

You will work across a varied portfolio of activity, with the opportunity to make an immediate impact and take ownership of your work from start to finish.

Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine financial models to assess strategic options, investment opportunities and financial scenarios.

  • Lead analysis across areas including tuition fee modelling, activity-based costing and financial sustainability.

  • Provide investment appraisal and commercial analysis to support key decision-making.

  • Analyse financial and operational data, identifying trends and translating complex information into clear and meaningful insight.

  • Produce high-quality financial analysis and presentations for senior management and Board-level audiences.

  • Take ownership of projects from initial scoping through to recommendations, alongside providing wider ad hoc FP&A support.

The successful candidate will have:
  • A fully qualified accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong post-qualified experience.

  • Excellent financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.

  • Strong analytical experience, ideally including scenario modelling, investment appraisal or similar commercial analysis.

  • A commercial approach, with the ability to understand the wider context, challenge assumptions and work independently.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to present analysis to senior audiences.

  • Higher Education experience is desirable but not essential; experience of Unit4 and/or Workday would also be advantageous.

This is a hybrid role, requiring two days per week in the office, that would suit an exceptionally strong accountant who is technically minded, commercially aware and able to quickly get to grips with new areas of work.

If this is you, please don't hesiate to submit your application now, as CVs are being reviewed daily.
