Roofer – FM Service Provider – London/ Essex - £24p/h - Temporary 

Exciting opportunity to work for a leading FM Service Provider situated in London and Essex. CBW is currently recruiting for a Roofer, the successful candidate should have a proven track record in commercial building Roofing maintenance.

 

Working hours 

• Monday - Friday
• 08:00 - 17:00
• Up to £24 per hour ( depending on qualifications ) (umbrella)
• Immediate start
• Company van provided, covering London and Essex

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out routine roof inspections on commercial properties.
• Identify and report leaks, damage, deterioration, and general defects.
• Carry out basic repairs to flat and pitched roofs.
• Locate and repair minor roof leaks and water ingress.
• Replace damaged or missing roof tiles and slates.
• Repair minor defects to roofing felt, membranes, and waterproofing systems.
• Repair and maintain roof flashings and weatherproofing details.
• Carry out basic leadwork repairs where competent.
• Repair and maintain roof edges, verges, ridges, and abutments.
• Inspect, clear, and maintain gutters and rainwater outlets.
• Repair or replace damaged guttering, downpipes, and associated fittings.
• Carry out minor repairs to fascias, soffits, trims, and roofline components.
• Repair minor damage around rooflights, vents, and other roof fixtures.
• Apply appropriate sealants, mastics, and waterproofing products.
• Carry out minor storm-damage repairs.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests relating to roof leaks and defects.

  Requirements

• Knowledge of commercial roofing maintenance
• Qualified in Roofing ( NVQ ) or any relevant trade
• Good communication skills
• Health & Safety experience
• Basic PC literacy, (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, smartphone use)
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service
• Self-motivation with the ability to manage tight time constraints and prioritise workload
