Carpenter / Joiner Central London

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Carpenter / Joiner to work on a variety of construction, refurbishment and fit-out projects across Central London.

We are looking for a skilled and reliable carpenter who is confident working independently, as well as alongside other trades and site teams. The role will involve a variety of first and second fix carpentry, installation, repairs and finishing works.

Key Responsibilities

• First and second fix carpentry
• Studwork, partitioning and timber framing
• Hanging and fitting doors
• Installing door frames, linings and architraves
• Fitting skirting boards, mouldings and trims
• Installing ironmongery
• General joinery and finishing works
• Timber fixtures, fittings and installations
• Boxing-in and general carpentry alterations
• Repairs, adjustments and remedial works
• Making-good and snagging
• Installing access panels and service openings
• Carrying out general carpentry modifications as required
• Reading and working from drawings and site instructions
• Working closely with site management and other trades
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

About You

The successful candidate will have solid experience as a Carpenter or Joiner, ideally within construction, refurbishment or fit-out environments.

You should be:

• Skilled in both first and second fix carpentry
• Confident using a range of hand and power tools
• Able to read drawings and follow site instructions
• Experienced working on construction or refurbishment sites
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Professional in your approach
• Flexible and willing to assist with other associated tasks when required
• Committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety
• CSCS card essential.

Relevant carpentry qualifications and refurbishment or fit-out experience are desirable.
