Head of Growth - Growth Equity Fundraising

London | Hybrid/Flexible | Senior Leadership Opportunity | Route to Equity Partnership

We are partnering with a fast-growing, London-based corporate finance and fundraising advisory firm to appoint a Head of Growth to lead and build its Growth Equity fundraising practice.

This is a senior, entrepreneurial opportunity for an experienced growth capital adviser or investor who wants greater ownership, autonomy and personal economics than a traditional banking or advisory platform can typically offer.

The firm has built a highly regarded position within the UK venture and fundraising ecosystem, advising high-growth companies and investors and completing more than 65 transactions since launching. It has an established network of over 3,500 VCs, CVCs, family offices and lenders.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the firm's £20m-£200m growth-stage fundraising activity, with responsibility across origination, execution, strategy and ultimately building the team.

The role:

Working directly with the Managing Partner and wider partnership, you will:

  • Own the origination strategy for growth-stage fundraising mandates
  • Develop and leverage relationships across growth equity funds, VCs, CVCs, family offices and the wider private capital ecosystem
  • Originate and win new advisory mandates
  • Assess and qualify growth companies as investment opportunities
  • Lead client relationships from initial engagement through to completion
  • Advise entrepreneurs and management teams on £20m-£200m equity fundraising processes
  • Lead investor targeting, outreach, engagement, diligence and negotiation
  • Oversee investor-readiness and transaction materials alongside an established execution team
  • Set and deliver the growth strategy for the practice
  • Represent the firm across the growth capital and investment community
  • Build and develop the Growth team as the opportunity scales

The individual:

We are particularly interested in speaking with individuals who have meaningful experience of growth equity / growth capital transactions, rather than exclusively traditional M&A experience.

You are likely to have:

  • 5+ years' experience advising on, originating or investing in growth-stage companies
  • Direct experience of growth equity fundraising / private growth capital transactions
  • A strong understanding of venture and growth capital rounds, including investor types, structures, diligence and round composition
  • An existing network across growth equity funds and the broader private capital community
  • A demonstrable track record of executing transactions
  • Evidence of business development, origination and/or winning mandates
  • Strong commercial judgement and the credibility to advise founders, CEOs and investors
  • An entrepreneurial, proactive and highly accountable approach

Relevant backgrounds could include Growth Capital Advisory, Private Capital Advisory, Technology Investment Banking, Corporate Finance or Growth Equity investing, provided you have substantive exposure to growth-stage fundraising and investors.

Why consider it?

This isn't simply another senior advisory position.

You will have the opportunity to own and build a service line, leveraging an established brand, existing deal infrastructure and extensive investor network rather than starting from scratch.

The position offers significant autonomy, direct access to the partnership and the opportunity to participate meaningfully in the value you create.

For the right individual, there is a defined pathway towards Equity Partnership within approximately 18-30 months, subject to agreed performance targets.

The firm operates flexibly from its London headquarters in Waterloo, alongside access to a wider network of flexible working locations.

Benefits include 30 days' annual leave, private medical insurance, pension contribution and personal development support.

If you have a background in growth equity fundraising, growth capital advisory or growth investing and are interested in moving into a role where you can originate, execute and ultimately build your own practice, we'd be pleased to speak with you.

All applications and conversations will be treated in the strictest confidence.
