Marshall Wolfe hiring consultancy are hiring for an exciting opportunity, for an experienced Cisco Technical Architect to join a major transformation programme delivering complex network and data centre solutions in highly regulated environments.
This is a hands-on role focused on designing, building and maintaining production-grade automation solutions across Cisco data centre networks, helping to deliver repeatable, reliable and controlled network change through Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain network automation solutions for Cisco data centre environments.
- Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
- Integrate automation with platforms including NDFC, NetBox, ServiceNow and Ansible Automation Platform.
- Support network migrations, validation activities and automation-driven deployments.
- Troubleshoot automation, integration and network-related issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of automation tooling and delivery processes.
Key Requirements
- Strong Cisco Data Centre networking experience, including NX-OS, VXLAN EVPN and vPC.
- Proven experience delivering network automation in production environments.
- Strong Python scripting and REST API integration skills.
- Experience with Ansible, GitHub/GitLab, GitOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of NDFC, NetBox and automation testing tools such as pyATS.
- Experience working within structured, change-controlled environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Location: London / Birmingham / Bristol (with occasional travel to Swindon)
Duration: 6 months
