School Premises & Site Staff – London

Various School-Based Roles Monday – Friday Temporary & Ongoing Opportunities London

We are currently recruiting school premises, caretaking, site and facilities staff for a range of schools across London.

We have opportunities available in primary and secondary schools, colleges and other educational settings, with roles ranging from short-term temporary assignments through to ongoing contracts.

Working hours and responsibilities will vary depending on the school and position, but opportunities may include:

• School Caretaker / Premises Assistant
• Premises Officer / Site Officer
• Facilities Assistant
• Site Supervisor
• General Maintenance / Handyperson
• Caretaking and Facilities Support

Typical Responsibilities

Depending on the role, you may be required to:

• Support the day-to-day operation, maintenance and security of the school site
• Carry out general maintenance, repairs and basic DIY tasks
• Ensure buildings, grounds and facilities are clean, safe and well maintained
• Open and close school premises at designated times
• Monitor the site and help maintain a safe environment for pupils, staff and visitors
• Liaise with school leadership, premises managers, cleaning teams and external contractors
• Report and respond to maintenance, security and health & safety issues
• Assist with deliveries, room setups, site checks and general facilities duties
• Support the school with ad-hoc tasks as required

What We Are Looking For

We are interested in hearing from candidates with experience in caretaking, premises, facilities, maintenance, security or site-based roles.

Previous experience within a school, college, educational setting or similar environment is desirable, although relevant experience from other sectors may also be considered.

Candidates should be reliable, practical, physically capable and confident working independently as well as part of a wider school team.

An Enhanced DBS is required for most school-based positions, and candidates who do not currently hold one may be required to have one processed.
