Our client is seeking an experienced Reactive Service Engineer to join a well-established team in London. This is a field-based role primarily focused on reactive callouts, breakdowns, fault finding and repairs. You will attend customer sites to support with developed faults, diagnosing problems and carrying out repairs to restore equipment to safe and reliable operation. You will:

• Attend reactive service calls and breakdowns at customer sites
• Diagnose and repair faults
• Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding
• Inspect motors, sensors, safety devices, control equipment and mechanical components
• Identify worn, damaged or faulty parts and complete repairs or replacements where possible
• Ensure equipment is left safe, operational and compliant following attendance
• Carry out door safety checks in accordance with relevant standards and procedures
• Investigate incidents and customer complaints
• Complete mandatory safety and operational tests following service calls
• Identify opportunities for repairs, modernisation and equipment upgrades
• Provide customers with clear information regarding faults, repairs and any additional work required
• Provide technical support to customers and colleagues when required
• Accurately complete service reports, job documentation and paperwork using a company tablet
• Maintain appropriate van stock, tools and replacement components
• Take responsibility for company vehicle, uniform and PPE
• Follow all company QHSE policies, processes and procedures
• Comply with customer-specific site arrival, pre-work, working and departure procedures

Key Requirements:

• Have strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability.
• Have strong experience within a Reactive Engineering role
• Have experience diagnosing and repairing equipment in a field-based environment
• Have a full, current UK driving licence
• Have good communication and customer-service skills
• Have the ability to work independently and manage a field-based
• Have strong awareness of health & safety and safe working practices
• Have the willingness to participate in an out-of-hours rota
• Have a flexible approach to working hours

This is a 40 hour week, 8 hours per day. On call 1 week per month from Friday through to Thursday. £200 per month for on call. If called out after 5.30pm you are paid £25 per call out. Overtime paid, week days standard hourly rate, Saturdays time and a half, Sundays Double time and Bank Holidays double time and a day in lieu. Some weekend work required for projects.

In return our client offers parking on site, 25 days holiday plus BH, company van for company use, commission & company pension.
