Business Analyst – Technology Transformation

Location: Milton Keynes or London – Hybrid
Contract: Initial 6 months, with potential extension
Day Rate: Competitive 
IR35: Outside IR35 preferred

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a complex technology transformation programme within a large enterprise environment.

You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand existing processes, systems and business needs before translating these into clear, structured and actionable requirements.

The environment is complex and requirements may not always be fully defined, so the successful candidate will play an important role in bringing structure, clarity and traceability to the programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business and technical stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.
• Capture, analyse and document business and functional requirements.
• Identify gaps between existing capabilities and future business needs.
• Facilitate workshops and structured requirements sessions.
• Translate business requirements into clear requirements for technical teams.
• Document business processes, rules and dependencies.
• Support the assessment of solution options and potential business impacts.
• Identify assumptions, risks, dependencies and areas requiring investigation.
• Work closely with Solution Architects, Developers, Product Owners and Delivery teams.
• Support testing, validation and acceptance activities.
• Maintain requirements traceability throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Support implementation planning and transition into delivery.

Essential Experience

• Strong commercial experience as a Business Analyst.
• Experience working on complex technology or transformation programmes.
• Strong requirements gathering and analysis experience.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops.
• Ability to analyse and document complex business processes and rules.
• Experience translating business needs into clear functional requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving requirements.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Experience working closely with technical teams and Solution Architects.

Desirable Experience

• Experience within large, complex or regulated organisations.
• Technology modernisation or transformation programmes.
• Integration, data or software delivery projects.
• Agile delivery environments.
• Complex business rules or operational processes.
• UAT, acceptance and implementation activities.
