A leading US law firm are looking for an experience Director of Revenue to lead and develop its global revenue function across multiple jurisdictions. This is a high-profile leadership opportunity for an individual who combines strong operational expertise with a strategic mindset and a passion for driving performance, process improvement, and exceptional stakeholder service. Based in London, the role will work closely with senior leadership, partners, and finance teams across the business to optimise revenue performance and enhance the end-to-end financial lifecycle.

The Opportunity

As Director of Revenue, you will take ownership of the firm's revenue management strategy, overseeing billing, collections, work-in-progress management, client financial operations, and revenue reporting across an international network of offices. You will lead a sizeable team, driving accountability, consistency, and service excellence while ensuring the business achieves its financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing global revenue team across multiple locations.
• Drive billing, collections, WIP management, and revenue optimisation initiatives.
• Partner with senior leadership and business stakeholders to improve financial outcomes and client service.
• Develop and implement revenue strategies that support business growth and profitability.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to measure team effectiveness, revenue performance, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee inventory and WIP management, ensuring timely resolution of aged balances and identification of write-off risks.
• Ensure compliance with pricing structures, alternative fee arrangements, and client financial agreements.
• Collaborate with finance, technology, and operational teams to enhance systems, reporting, and processes.
• Utilise data and management information to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Champion process improvement initiatives, driving greater efficiency and reducing administrative burden across the business.

About You

• Significant leadership experience within revenue management, finance operations, billing, or collections in a professional services environment.
• Proven ability to manage and develop large, multi-site teams.
• Strong understanding of billing, collections, revenue processes, and financial controls.
• Experience working with finance systems and driving process improvement initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence senior leaders and business partners.
• Highly analytical with strong reporting, project management, and organisational skills.
• A collaborative and proactive approach, with a focus on delivering outstanding service and operational excellence.
