Continental Shift Technician - #2152579

We are currently supporting a great client of ours in finding a Shift Technician to join their team for a flagship site in the City of London.

The successful candidate will be electrically biased, with strong commercial building services experience and the relevant electrical qualifications to work safely and effectively within a critical environment.

The Role

Working as part of a professional engineering team, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of the building's electrical and mechanical services, ensuring all plant, equipment and systems remain safe, reliable and operational.

The role will suit a qualified engineer who is confident working independently, has excellent fault-finding skills and understands the demands of a high-profile commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults across the site
• Reactive maintenance tasks
• Carry out routine inspections and testing of plant and equipment
• Complete maintenance records, job sheets and relevant documentation
• Liaise with contractors and specialist service providers when required
• Support the wider engineering team
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety procedures and site requirements

Requirements

• Recognised electrical qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Previous experience working within a commercial building services environment
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good understanding of LV systems and general building services
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• A proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving
• A valid UK right to work

Package

• £52,000 basic salary
• 20 days annual leave
• Continental shift pattern
