Community Marketing Manager, Global Exhibitions

Salary up to £43,000 plus bonus and benefits

Central London (hybrid, three days a week in the office)

About the Role

Our client is part of an established global B2B events and intelligence business. Within it, this team has the feel of a start-up: ambitious, with a real growth mindset, and quick to test and act on new ideas. You get the energy of a fast-moving team with the security, resources and career opportunities of a much larger organisation.

This role gives you real ownership of community and content marketing across two global events. You will work alongside the exhibition Marketing Manager and report to the Marketing Director, shaping how each audience is engaged from the early stages of the event cycle right through to show day.

The business invests heavily in its people. Every new starter completes a structured three month induction and training plan, followed by ongoing advanced development. Mentoring and career paths extend across the wider group, including international opportunities for those who want them.

What the Role Involves

• Owning the content strategy and creating content for two events a year
• Building the social media strategy with a clear focus on engagement and audience growth
• Leading the delivery of visitor and exhibitor promotion campaigns
• Producing articles, newsletters, video, email and social content, plus digital assets such as banners
• Managing partnerships with associations and publications, and creating the assets that drive visitor registrations
• Writing promotional copy and collateral for internal teams and clients
• Keeping event websites up to date
• Moving customers from interest to advocacy with targeted, well written messaging
• Working with colleagues across the business to deliver shared goals
• Taking ownership, accountability and responsibility for your work

What You'll Need

• A degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent experience, ideally in marketing or communications
• Two or more years of marketing experience, with exhibitions experience preferred
• A commercial approach, with a track record of generating leads and footfall and measuring conversion and ROI
• Hands on digital marketing experience, including social media, SEO and SEM
• Strong writing skills and confident verbal communication
• A creative, analytical mind and close attention to detail
• The ability to work independently and deliver against tight deadlines
• Energy, ambition and an appetite for responsibility
