Assistant Vice President Pensions Governance Officer - #2152807

We are working with a leading financial services organisation to recruit an experienced Pensions Specialist to join its team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the management and delivery of the organisation’s global pension strategy, with particular responsibility for pension governance and design across European and Middle Eastern plans, alongside supporting UK arrangements.

The Role
You will take ownership of a range of pension activities and projects, working closely with internal stakeholders, external advisers and pension providers.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the delivery of the global pension strategy.
• Leading governance and design activity across European and Middle Eastern pension plans.
• Supporting the management of UK pension arrangements.
• Delivering pension projects from start to completion.
• Supporting scheme design reviews and liability management exercises.
• Providing technical support on UK pension projects.
• Supporting pension-related financial reporting.
• Ensuring pension arrangements remain compliant with relevant regulations.
• Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments.
• Managing relationships with external advisers and providers.
• Supporting pension and benefits strategy development.
• Monitoring pension costs, budgets and funding requirements.
• Identifying and managing pension-related risks.
• Using data and analysis to support decision-making and reporting.

About You We are looking for someone with a strong background in pensions, particularly within a complex corporate or financial services environment.
You should have:

• Strong knowledge of UK pension design and governance.
• Experience delivering pension projects.
• Experience managing projects from initiation through to completion.
• Knowledge of European pension arrangements would be highly desirable.
• International pension experience would be advantageous.
• Excellent Excel and data analytical skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of risk, controls and governance.
• Experience of change and transformation.
• Strong commercial and business awareness.
