Venn Group’s specialist Estates & Facilities recruitment team is recruiting for a School Cleaner on behalf of a well-regarded independent educational organisation in London. This temp to perm opportunity offers the chance to join a supportive school environment with the potential to secure a permanent position.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Cleaning classrooms, washrooms, communal areas, and other school facilities
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the site
• Using cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively
• Assisting with the cleaning of outdoor areas and school grounds
• Following COSHH, Health & Safety, and safeguarding procedures at all times
• Supporting with occasional manual handling duties, furniture moves, and site-related tasks
• Participating in mandatory training, including fire safety and manual handling

About You

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
• Understanding of Health & Safety and safe working practices
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
• Flexible approach to duties and working within a school environment
• Experience within a school or educational setting would be advantageous
• Basic DIY or maintenance skills would be beneficial

Key Details

• Rate: £16.92 per hour Umbrella
• Permanent Salary: £19,240 per annum
• Location: London
• Hours: 25 hours per week
• Working Pattern: 5 days per week with a 6:00am start each day
• Contract: Temp to Perm
• Start: ASAP
