Lorien's leading banking client is looking for a Business Credit Advisor Analyst to join a Securities Services team operating as the First Line of Defence (LoD1) for credit and counterparty risk.

The role will support the Business in managing financial risk across new and existing client portfolios, ensuring credit exposures remain within agreed risk appetite. You will act as a key link between Client Development, Business teams, Credit Analysts and LoD2 Risk/Credit Officers.

The ideal candidate is a strong Business Advisor with proven Securities Services and Credit/Counterparty Risk experience, comfortable operating as the bridge between commercial teams and Risk and supporting the management of client credit exposures from initial request through approval and ongoing monitoring.

This role is based in London.
This role will be Via Umbrella.
Working in a Hybrid Model of 2-3 days a week on site.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Act as a key LoD1 contact for credit and counterparty risk across Securities Services.

• 
  Support the preparation and structuring of credit requests, including new business, ad-hoc requests and annual reviews.

• 
  Perform transactional and risk analysis to support the calibration and management of credit/risk limits.

• 
  Assess client and transaction risk profiles and recommend appropriate collateral, legal protections and credit risk mitigation.

• 
  Manage credit requests through the end-to-end approval process, coordinating between Business, Credit and Risk teams.

• 
  Participate in client due diligence, credit committees and risk discussions where required.

• 
  Prepare credit risk reports, portfolio reviews, dashboards and management presentations.

• 
  Support risk committees and provide input into relevant risk and regulatory topics.

• 
  Manage agreed day-to-day risk limits within approved frameworks, particularly across custody, clearing and settlement activities.

• 
  Contribute to improvements in credit risk processes, controls and governance.

Skills & Experience

• 
  Strong Business Analysis experience within Financial Services.

• 
  Securities Services experience is essential.

• 
  Strong knowledge of credit and counterparty risk, including credit lines for new and existing clients.

• 
  Understanding of custody, clearing and settlement activities.

• 
  Experience with credit approvals, credit requests, annual reviews and risk limit management.

• 
  Knowledge of collateral and other credit risk mitigation techniques.

• 
  Experience working within a LoD1 risk/control environment and engaging with LoD2 Risk teams.

• 
  Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving capabilities.

• 
  Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across Business, Client Development, Credit and Risk.
