Audit Manager ( Social Housing) - #2152927

Our client, a UK professional services firm offering audit, tax, advisory and consulting services, is looking for an ambitious Audit Manager to join its award-winning Social Purpose team and develop a specialism in Social Housing. The role can be based in London, the Midlands or Manchester, with flexible and part-time working arrangements available.

This is the leading firm of auditors to the charitable sector, trusted by a high-profile portfolio of clients including well-known charities, INGOs, grant-makers and social housing providers. The firm has invested significantly in growing its Social Housing offering and acts as technical advisor to the Housing SORP working party, giving you the chance to build a genuine specialism within a dynamic, growing team backed by experienced partners.

• Managing a portfolio of external audit clients, delivering a proactive, year-round service
• Managing audit teams, ensuring work is completed to budget and timescale from planning through to completion
• Acting as principal contact for your clients throughout the year
• Preparing and presenting reports to senior management and Audit Committees or Boards
• Directing, coaching and mentoring audit teams to support engagement delivery
• Getting involved in business development, proposals and presentations for new work

• Qualified ACA, ICAS, ACCA or equivalent
• Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards
• Good working knowledge of Excel and Word
• Strong people-management skills, with the ability to coach and mentor junior colleagues
• Experience of audits in the non-profit sector is desirable but not essential
