We are recruiting for an experienced Cash Allocations Manager to join a busy and fast-paced finance team within a leading events business in Central London.

Reporting to the Head of Credit Control & Cash Management, you will take ownership of the cash allocation function, ensuring customer receipts are accurately and efficiently allocated and customer accounts remain fully reconciled.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cash allocations or accounts receivable professional who enjoys working in a high-volume environment and has strong NetSuite experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day cash allocation function, ensuring incoming customer payments are accurately and promptly allocated in NetSuite.
• Oversee the allocation of high volumes of customer receipts against outstanding invoices and customer accounts.
• Investigate and resolve unidentified, unapplied and misallocated cash.
• Reconcile bank receipts against customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure customer accounts and the sales ledger are accurately maintained within NetSuite.
• Work closely with the Credit Control and Accounts Receivable teams to resolve payment queries and outstanding balances.
• Investigate short payments, overpayments, duplicate payments and other allocation discrepancies.
• Monitor unapplied cash and take action to minimise aged or unidentified balances.
• Support the month-end close process, ensuring cash allocation and reconciliation activities are completed accurately and within deadlines.
• Produce regular reports and analysis relating to cash receipts, allocations and unapplied cash.
• Identify opportunities to improve cash allocation processes, controls and efficiency.
• Ensure appropriate financial controls and procedures are consistently followed.
• Liaise with customers, internal stakeholders and other finance teams to resolve payment-related queries.
• Manage, support and develop members of the cash allocation team where applicable.
• Assist with wider finance projects, system improvements and process automation.

About You - We are looking for someone with:

• Proven experience within cash allocations, accounts receivable, sales ledger or credit control.
• Strong, hands-on experience using NetSuite, ideally including customer accounts, cash receipts, allocations and reconciliations.
• Previous experience managing or supervising a finance team.
• Experience working with high volumes of transactions and payments.
• Strong reconciliation and investigative skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to problem solving, process improvement and resolving issues.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience within events, leisure or another high-volume transactional environment would be advantageous.
