This is an exciting opportunity for an organisational development and talent expert who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about building leadership capability and organisational effectiveness. Working closely with the Talent Director, HR Business Partners, and senior business leaders, you will play a critical role in delivering strategic talent initiatives while bringing external insight into leadership trends, future skills, workforce planning, and evolving talent practices.

You will combine strong analytical capability with exceptional stakeholder management skills, ensuring talent decisions are informed, evidence-based, and aligned with the organisation's long-term strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert insight into market trends, leadership practices, organisational effectiveness, and future workforce requirements, helping to inform and shape talent strategy.

  • Build strong collaborative relationships across HR, Reward, Learning, Communications, Recruitment, and Business Leadership teams to ensure alignment of talent priorities across the organisation.
  • Design, coordinate, and evaluate targeted development interventions for succession and diverse talent populations, measuring progress and impact against agreed outcomes.
  • Drive the implementation of actions arising from succession reviews, ensuring successor pipelines are supported by meaningful and robust development plans.
  • Provide specialist expertise in leadership assessment methodologies, supporting the planning, delivery, and interpretation of leadership assessments.
  • Produce executive-level presentations, reports, and briefing materials for senior leaders, Board members, and governance forums.
  • Ensure talent and succession frameworks remain aligned to future workforce, leadership, and capability requirements.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of leadership development programmes and talent practices.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
  • Significant experience within Talent Management, Organisational Development, Leadership Development, or Succession Planning.
  • A proven track record of working within large, complex organisations and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Deep expertise in succession planning, talent reviews, leadership assessment, and talent development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful talent insights and recommendations.
  • Experience producing high-quality papers, presentations, and reports for executive and Board-level audiences.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility and influence across multiple business functions.
  • A strong understanding of external talent trends, workforce planning, leadership capability, and future skills agendas.
  • A collaborative, proactive, and delivery-focused approach with a passion for developing future leaders.
This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the future leadership capability of the organisation. You will work closely with senior leaders, influence critical talent decisions, and help shape the development of a strong and sustainable leadership pipeline for the future.
If you are a strategic talent professional with a passion for leadership and organisational development, we'd love to hear from you.
