An established professional services firm are seeking a contractor for 6 months as they enter a busy period with their upcoming audit.

You will be a qualified accountant who is audit trained. You can be straight from practice or have practice plus some industry experience.

You will be working as part of a collaborative finance team. The main purpose of the role will include assisting with the audit, month-end and due diligence.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Support the preparation of year-end audit deliverables.
• Act as a key audit contact to coordinate day-to-day information requests and resolve audit queries efficiently.
• Monitor audit timelines proactively to ensure successful sign-off.
• Support the production of statutory financial statements.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare financial analysis and supporting reports.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of due diligence
• Support financial controls and drive process efficiency initiatives.
• Deliver ad hoc support as required.

Knowledge & experience:

• Qualified accountant - ACA / ACCA/ CA
• A background in Audit is essential
• Good systems and excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail, communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Able to pick up tasks quickly
