Senior Finance Operations Manager
An opportunity has arisen with a leading US law firm for an experienced Senior Finance Operations Manager to oversee its AP and Cashiering function across London & Europe. This is a newly created role, reporting into the firms Finance Director.
The successful individual will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, strengthening controls and ensuring compliance within a highly regulated environment.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the day-to-day management of Accounts Payable, Cashiering and supplier onboarding functions.
- Ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and maintaining robust controls around client money and financial operations.
- Reviewing and enhancing financial processes, controls and governance frameworks.
- Managing, mentoring and developing a team, creating resilience through training and cross-functional support.
- Driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.
- Overseeing supplier management processes and workflow systems.
- Working closely with finance leaders across multiple international offices to standardise processes and improve service delivery.
- Developing and monitoring KPIs to measure team performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting the implementation and adoption of automation and AI-driven solutions within finance operations.
- Acting as a senior escalation point for complex operational and accounting matters.
Experience needed:
- 10+ years of law firm experience
- Expertise across Accounts Payable, Cashiering, Treasury, Cash Receipts and supplier management process
- Deep knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules and client money regulations.
- Strong leadership experience, with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Experience implementing and strengthening financial controls and governance processes.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
Additional:
- The firm operates a 4 day in the office hybrid policy, with Friday being the non-office day
