Contract Recruiter - SC Cleared

New Contract Opportunity for an SC Cleared Recruiter with Defence & Consultancy Experience

  • Daily Rate: Up to £300 per day
  • Location: London - 1 day per week on-site
  • Working Pattern: 3-4 days per week
  • IR35: Outside IR35
  • Contract: Initial 3 months, with scope to become permanent
  • Clearance: Active SC Clearance required

I'm currently working with a growing organisation operating across the Defence and Consultancy space, who are looking for an experienced Contract Recruiter / Talent Acquisition professional to join them on an initial 3-month contract.

This is a hands-on recruitment role, with a strong focus on helping the business build, improve and formalise its internal recruitment function.

THE ROLE

You'll take ownership of talent acquisition across the business, covering everything from sourcing and headhunting through to interview management and candidate engagement.

Alongside the day-to-day recruitment activity, you'll also play a key role in shaping how recruitment is done internally, helping to introduce and improve processes that can support the business as it grows.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing end-to-end recruitment across Defence and Consultancy roles
  • Proactively sourcing and headhunting candidates, particularly within security-cleared markets
  • Building and maintaining strong candidate pipelines
  • Working closely with hiring managers to understand requirements and deliver against vacancies
  • Supporting and improving the internal interview and assessment process
  • Defining and implementing effective recruitment processes and best practices
  • Reviewing existing recruitment practices and identifying areas for improvement
  • Helping to develop a consistent and scalable internal recruitment function
  • Managing candidate engagement throughout the recruitment process
  • Providing recruitment market insight and guidance to internal stakeholders
ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone with proven recruitment experience within the Defence and/or Consultancy sectors, ideally with a strong understanding of the UK security-cleared market.

You'll ideally have:

  • Active SC Clearance
  • Previous experience recruiting within Defence, Government, Consultancy or related sectors
  • Strong headhunting and candidate sourcing experience
  • Experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes
  • A good understanding of security-cleared recruitment
  • Experience working closely with hiring managers and senior stakeholders
  • Experience improving or implementing recruitment processes and interview practices
  • A practical, hands-on approach - someone who can both deliver recruitment and improve how recruitment is done

This is an opportunity to join a growing business where you can have a genuine impact on the recruitment function. The initial 3-month contract has scope to transition into a permanent position, should it be the right fit for both sides.
