We're looking for an experienced protection professional to lead the protection team at an award-winning, highly respected financial services provider.

You'll lead, coach and develop a growing team of protection advisers, holding them to the highest standards on both performance and compliance. To do that well, you'll need to know protection inside out, not just personal protection, but ideally business protection and estate planning (IHT) side too.

Ensure relationships are solidified with internal teams, such as Mortgage Brokers, Wealth Advisers, General Insurance Brokers, Commercial Insurance Brokers, Commercial Finance Brokers, ensuring business opportunities are maximised to their full potential.

You will play a pivotal role in developing the business protection and IHT protection proposition, a key area of growth for the firm. You'll get direct support from senior leadership in the IHT space, so this is a real chance to broaden your expertise and shape the direction of the proposition.

Responsibilities:

• Leading, coaching and developing an experienced team of Protection Brokers, providing tailored protection advice across Life Insurance, Critical Illness, and Income Protection, Business Protection and IHT planning.
• Building a best-in-class protection proposition across Life Insurance, Critical Illness and Income Protection, alongside Business Protection (Key Person, Shareholder/Partnership Protection, Relevant Life) and IHT Protection
• Driving the growth and development of the business protection and IHT protection side of the business
• Ability to network and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders such as Mortgage Brokers, Wealth Advisers, General Insurance Brokers, Commercial Insurance Brokers, Commercial Finance Brokers.
• Acting as the subject matter expert on protection, keeping your own product and market knowledge current and keeping the business informed of market and product developments
• Championing professional development and qualifications across the team
• Maintaining the highest standards of compliance and client care throughout

Experience Required:

• R01 and R05 qualified, with a commitment to completing the full Diploma over time (essential)
• Highly experienced in protection, with a strong track record in advising and in leading, managing or mentoring advisers
• Experience in business protection and/or IHT protection, or at minimum, a genuine desire to build deep expertise in these areas (support and training will be provided)
• The technical knowledge and confidence to coach advisers and oversee advice quality and compliance
• Strong communication skills, commercially astute, with a consultative, client-first approach
• Professional, self-motivated and genuinely passionate about protection advice

Up to £80k Basic + Benefits + Bonus (£150k+ OTE – Uncapped)
