The Role:

A major financial services organisation is looking for a Software Engineer to help modernise and enhance a business-critical trading platform used by front office teams.

This is a hands-on engineering role with genuine influence over technology direction, offering the opportunity to work on large-scale platform transformation, modern engineering practices, and cloud adoption within a fast-moving environment.

What You Will Be Doing:

1. Deliver enhancements and new capability across a high-impact trading technology platform
2. Design and build scalable applications, services and APIs using modern .NET technologies
3. Contribute to architectural decisions and longer-term technology strategy
4. Drive improvements around automation, resilience, performance and operational efficiency
5. Partner closely with engineering and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical solutions
6. Support the migration of legacy applications towards modern cloud-native architectures

What You Bring:

1. Strong software engineering capability across C# and .NET
2. Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server or PostgreSQL
3. Knowledge of API design and distributed application development
4. Exposure to modern engineering practices including DevOps, CI/CD and automated testing
5. Experience modernising or migrating legacy applications to current .NET platforms
6. Cloud experience across AWS, GCP or similar enterprise cloud environments
