Accounts & Personal Tax Assistant Manager - #2166639

This medium size accountancy firm based in a prime location in Central London is looking for a fully qualified Accounts & Tax Assistant Manager or Junior Manager to join their busy and growing accountancy and business services department. The tax element of the role will be bias towards personal tax assignments, including US personal tax. Your aim will be to provide first class accountancy and tax services to a wide range of UK and International clients, most from the Film, TV, Theatre, Creative, Media, Sport and Entertainment sectors. Examples of clients include very high profile actors, actresses, film & tv producers, directors and screen writers. Most clients will be small to medium in size but will include some groups and international companies, many from the US. This high profile role can be tailored to suit the candidate – it can be anything up to 70% personal tax based or split evenly between statutory accounts and tax.

Your role will be varied and include managing your own portfolio of clients, and ensuring all clients are serviced to a high standard. Responsibilities will include: Managing your own portfolio of clients, preparing and reviewing sole trader accounts for entertainment clients, preparing FRS 102 and 105 statutory accounts as well as the corporation tax returns, business management duties for a range of high profile media and entertainment based clients, preparation of personal tax returns for sole traders and company directors, as well as Making Tax Digital (MTD) returns, delivery of overseas tax compliance work for international clients from countries such as the United States and Australia (full training on this will be provided), reviewing the work of more junior staff members for bookkeeping and Vat assignments. Full training and support will be provided where necessary so you can complete your role to the highest possible standards.

Progression is always very strong and the firm expects progression to full Manager grade and increased responsibility within 18 to 24 months.

To be considered for this new role you must be fully ACA or ACCA qualified with at least one to two years PQE and currently working in a mixed general practice role in a good quality accountancy firm. You must have experience preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, personal tax returns and experience of cloud based software packages such as Xero. You must have a desire to learn, progress and do well in a medium size accountancy firm based in Zone 1 Central London and progress in a role which will be mixed between mainly statutory accounts and personal taxation. You must also have an interest to specialise in working with and advising high profile clients from the Film, TV, Creative, Media, Sport and Theatre sectors.
