Overview

At Gallagher, we’re looking for an Investment Consultant to join our team. This is a client-facing and technical role where you’ll work closely with institutional clients, including pension schemes, charities, insurers, and wealth managers. You’ll collaborate with specialists across sustainable investment, asset-liability management, manager research, and transition teams to deliver tailored advice.

We’re committed to helping you grow. You’ll have autonomy to lead key projects, present to clients, and develop your expertise with structured training and support from senior consultants.

How you'll make an impact

  • Build strong relationships with institutional clients and oversee key investment workstreams.
  • Present clear and credible investment advice at Trustee and client board meetings.
  • Work with specialists across the business to deliver holistic, tailored advice.
  • Monitor client portfolios and ensure investment strategies remain effective.
  • Mentor junior team members and share your knowledge to help them grow.
  • Support business development by preparing proposals and contributing to new initiatives.
  • Engage with the wider industry through thought leadership, blogs, or conferences

About You

Essential:

  • 2–5 years of experience in investment consulting or institutional investment, ideally with UK pension clients.
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets and investment strategy.
  • Confident communicator who can present to sophisticated clients.
  • Proactive and organised, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.

Desirable:

  • CFA, FIA, or equivalent qualification (or working towards one).
  • Knowledge of sustainable investment principles.
  • Interest in contributing to industry discussions through writing or speaking.

Compensation and benefits

At Gallagher, we believe supporting our colleagues goes far beyond the role itself. For more information, visit our Benefits page.

  • Competitive compensation
  • Comprehensive benefits programs designed to support your well-being
  • Career development opportunities and ongoing learning
  • A collaborative, people-first culture with accessible leadership
  • The opportunity to do meaningful work with global reach and local impact

At Gallagher, we are dedicated to building an inclusive and authentic workplace. If your past experience doesn’t align perfectly, we encourage you to join our Talent Community to stay connected to additional career opportunities. Although this role is listed as full-time, if you’re in a job-share partnership, work reduced hours, or have any other flexible arrangement, please still get in touch. We will also offer reasonable adjustments to the recruitment process if required, so please let us know.
