Land-based Steward/ess - #2169239

We are recruiting on behalf of a private family for an experienced Stewardess to join their household team. Based at the family’s home in County Dublin, you will travel with them to their other residences and on trips, ensuring that wherever they are, their home comforts and service standards are the same. This role is ideal for a yacht stewardess who wants to bring their UHNW experience to a land-based private household.

You will provide refined, intuitive service to the family and their guests, caring for the interiors, wardrobe and table with a yacht-standard eye for detail. You will work closely with the wider household team and report to the Estate or House Manager. When the family travels, you will go ahead of or with them to prepare each property, and manage the household details on the move. Accommodation is provided off site in Dublin and while travelling.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the family’s residences to impeccable standards, including daily housekeeping and detailed cleaning
• Provide silver service, table setting, drinks service and fine dining support for family meals and entertaining
• Care for the family’s wardrobe, including laundry, ironing, packing and unpacking
• Prepare bedrooms and guest accommodation, including turndown, fresh flowers and finishing touches
• Look after fine furnishings, art, glassware, silver and other delicate items
• Manage stock, provisioning and household supplies, and keep budgets and records in order
• Prepare and open other properties ahead of the family’s arrival, and close them down afterwards
• Travel with the family, including occasional trips abroad, and adapt quickly to new environments and routines
• Support events and guests at home, ensuring service runs seamlessly and discreetly

The ideal candidate

• Proven experience as a yacht stewardess, ideally on private or charter yachts at a high standard (private household or five-star hotel experience is also valued)
• Excellent service skills, including table service, wine and drinks, and floristry (training is an advantage)
• Strong laundry and garment care and expert knowledge of surface and fabric care
• A polished, professional presentation and a calm, unflappable manner
• Complete discretion and respect for confidentiality, which is essential in this role
• Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
• Flexible, with the ability to work varied hours including evenings, weekends and while travelling
• Valid passport and the right to work in Ireland; a full driving licence is an advantage
• Fluent English
