The role

This key strategic Sales role is to lead and execute a cohesive sales and business development strategy for achieving the agreed company’s growth targets across the full portfolio of services.

This will involve taking ownership of existing clients and new sales opportunities and maximizing the revenue and profitability from them.

Leading and directing a national sales team.

The objective is to both serve existing clients and also attract business by providing an efficient and profitable solution serving complimentary clients.

Managing and leading the sales function you will ensure that it positioned to maximise sales opportunities to ensure our client achieves its ambitious growth plans.

With excellent commercial acumen, you will recognise when investment needs to be made to support profitable business growth and ensure that the necessary resources are in place to enable the delivery of targets.

A natural strategic and ambassadorial person you will enjoy leading a national sales team in a competitive environment.

The applicant

With previous experience of running and leading a sales business unit in excess of £50 million pounds with full commercial responsibility you will have proven success in achieving product growth, revenue and profit targets.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial individual who enjoys creating and developing new Logistics products in a highly competitive marketplace.

Excellent communication skills combined with the intellectual capacity to sell the concept in a trustworthy, personable and professional manner.

Resilient, demonstrating confidence in your own ability along with a positive approach.

Leadership, willing to take the lead and make difficult decisions.

Evaluating and solving problems, able to provide strong logic and objectively interpret data to establish the key facts.

Our ideal candidate will have held a similar Sales Director role experience in a market leading logistics business.

Ideally you will have experience in a 3PL, Mail, Pallet Networks, Parcels, General Logistics, Sameday or a similar Service based business.

Using your insight and experience to shape the way forward, creating innovation and out performing your competitors.

Adaptability to thrive within a complex business.
