Application Support Manager
£110,000 + bonus | London | Hybrid: 2-3 days in the office

A financial services business is looking for a hands-on Application Support Manager to take ownership of a team supporting critical business applications.

You'll have a meaningful say in how the function develops-from hiring and coaching to setting priorities and improving the way the team operates. This suits someone who enjoys leading people and still wants to get into the detail when a complex issue needs solving.

Experience supporting BlackRock Aladdin is a key priority for this hire. You should understand its importance to investment operations and be comfortable investigating issues, working with users and suppliers, and driving problems through to resolution.

The opportunity

You'll lead day-to-day application support, take charge during major incidents and build a stronger, more proactive support function. Your remit will include:

• Developing the team and helping shape future recruitment.

• Leading P1 incidents, coordinating recovery and keeping stakeholders informed.

• Driving root-cause investigations and making sure permanent fixes happen.

• Improving monitoring, automation and recovery processes.

• Making sure new applications and changes are ready for live support.

• Working closely with business users, engineering, InfoSec and external vendors.

What you'll bring

• Strong practical experience supporting BlackRock Aladdin.

• A background in application support or technology operations within regulated financial services.

• Experience leading and developing a support team.

• Confidence taking ownership of major incidents and service recovery.

• Enough technical depth to challenge suppliers, investigate issues and guide the team.

• The drive to turn recurring problems into lasting improvements.
