Security Service Engineer - Field Based - Up to £45k 

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer to join a leading organisation within the security industry. This is a field-based role, offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work with a wide range of modern security technologies.

The Role: 

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for attending both pre-planned and reactive callouts, ensuring the effective maintenance and repair of security systems across residential and commercial sites. 

• Diagnose and resolve faults across security systems, restoring functionality efficiently. 
• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on intruder alarms, CCTV, fire alarms, and access control systems. 
• Respond to emergency callouts and pre-arranged service visits. 
• Monitor alarm activations and investigate issues, taking appropriate action. 
• Recommend and implement system upgrades and improvements. 
• Provide technical support to customers both remotely and on-site. 
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation. 
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards and company procedures. 

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Service Engineer within Fire or Security. 
• Strong knowledge of intruder alarms. 
• Full UK driving licence. 
• Good understanding of CCTV, access control, and fire alarms. 
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. 

Additional Information as a Security Service Engineer: 

• Field-based role with travel to customer sites. (Company van and fuel card included) 
• Participation in an out-of-hours call rota - including weekends and bank holidays (Standby rate paid and commission paid on top if you have to visit a client's house) 

Salary up to £45k with an OTE of £58k.
