University of the Arts London (UAL) is a world-leading creative University for teaching and research in art, design, fashion, communication and performing arts. UAL is made up of six renowned colleges and hosts several centres and institutes that further the University’s mission and social purpose, through the students and ideas we send out into the world and the partnerships we build to achieve social, environmental, and economic progress.

Digital & Technology at UAL is on an exciting journey, transitioning from a ‘classic’ IT approach to a user-centred product approach to technology. We are investing in our people, and the processes enabled by digital, to evolve and transform the student and staff experience at UAL.

As a Business Analyst within the Digital & Technology department’s CRM Service, you will play a key role in understanding business needs, solving problems and shaping improvements to digital products and services across the University.

Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute across the full product lifecycle, leading discovery, requirements definition, process and data mapping, and testing. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, challenge assumptions, and translate complex problems into clear, practical solutions.

The CRM Service is working towards a connected, data-driven digital ecosystem, with Salesforce at the centre of our CRM landscape. You'll help us improve how our systems, data, and processes work together, delivering better experiences and value for staff and students.

Experience

  • Experience of business analysis across the product lifecycle, ideally within a large or complex organisation.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships and navigate differing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex challenges, question assumptions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Demonstrable experience of core business analysis techniques, including discovery, requirements elicitation, process and data mapping, and documentation.
  • Experience of supporting the delivery and adoption of change, including testing, training and early-life support.
  • Understanding of Agile and product-led approaches, with experience of working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

UAL is a world-class University shaping the creative industries worldwide, with staff having access to a range of benefits, training and personal development to recognise and reward the contributions they make, as well as to encourage excellence, creativity and diversity, including:

  • Competitive salary of £44,375 - £52,977 + 6% market supplement per annum, dependant on experience
  • 34 days annual leave plus public holidays
  • Generous, defined benefit pension scheme
  • Family-friendly policies, including 26 weeks of paid maternity or paternity leave
