Product & Experience Management – Recruitment Job Specs

  • Manager, Product & Experience Management

Your Impact and Purpose – Do you want to feel empowered to push boundaries, be part of a motivated team and deliver transformative change for the biggest companies in the world? We are on a mission to change customer experiences for the better, across a range of complex industries, including Financial Services, and are growing our exciting Product & Experience Management practice to do exactly that. If you want to make a tangible difference and elevate your purpose-driven career journey, we want to hear from you.

Our value – Product & Experience managers help our clients to navigate the end-to-end journey from concept to release and beyond, working alongside Business stakeholders, design and delivery teams to ensure products and services being developed meet the business’ objectives. By looking across the entire product lifecycle, from strategy and concept, through design, delivery, release and scale, we can support our clients in a multitude of ways to add long term value. Our specialists combine the skillsets of creative designers and strategic consultants, flexing accordingly to the situation but never losing sight of the end outcomes.

About EY Seren – At EY Seren, the work we do reaches deep into the interactions, choices and experiences people encounter every day. We want to help people make better, more effective choices and solve their most pressing problems. We work with organisations to create transformative platforms, products, services and experiences that will make the world an easier, more meaningful and sustainable place to live and work. We don’t have all the answers, because – just like people – every problem is unique and needs the right care and attention to find the right solution.

Clients push us every day to help them solve new and complex challenges in a rapidly changing world, which is both a privilege and responsibility. We influence senior client stakeholders and decision-makers at the highest levels and have conversations that excite us and challenge us to do our best work. We’re a unique but integrated part of an established global business, which brings new thinking, challenges, and opportunities - and helps us make a difference: our human-centered approach to doing business is helping shift the world around us, simplify complexity and push us to go further as we help reimagine growth - for business, for people and for our communities.

The Opportunity – We are looking for Product & Experience Managers to join our growing team working in a hybrid manner out of our London Bridge / Canary Wharf offices. You’ll work as critical part of a multidisciplinary team on major client engagements and accounts, and both our internal and external teams will depend on you to lead as a trusted collaborator, and advocate for exceptional human-centered design.

You’ll be experienced in the end-to-end product lifecycle management, and leading projects and workstreams successfully. You’ll be strategic and skilled at asking the right questions to ensure we deliver the best possible outcomes, products and experiences for our clients and their customers. You’ll be responsible for the thoughtful and impactful delivery of digital products and services from discovery to initial ideas and concepting, and independently managing the propositions end-to-end, from discovery to and initial ideas and concepting activities, to creating the business case, refining the designs and prototypes, and managing the product backlog, to detailed design, wireframes, prototypes all the way through to build, delivery and go-to-market launch.

The work we do is big: big in scale, big in ambition, and big in impact. We don’t do work that sits in drawers. We shape and create solutions that make a difference in the world: solutions that help people have better, more meaningful experiences and make better, more effective choices and decisions - for themselves and for the people that matter most in their lives.

You won’t do this on your own. As an indispensable member of our Product & Experience Management team, you’ll learn from some of brightest minds in the industry, working alongside the best in Service Design, Strategy, Research, Insight and Technology.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work across a diverse range of Product & Experience Management engagements, leading key workstreams to shape new product strategies, building the case for change and overseeing their delivery to the market
  • Manage complex digital products and services throughout their whole lifecycle - you will be responsible for driving them from discovery, through to delivery
  • Ensure the delivery of products and services that are ‘valuable’ for customers, not just ‘desirable’, and balance the design-focused (right-brain) with the commercially-focused (left-brain) goals and objectives
  • Organise, facilitate and lead workshops that align stakeholders and generate meaningful results
  • Present in a clear and confident manner to a range of stakeholders across various business functions both for internal teams and clients
  • Leverage market knowledge, research and usability testing insights for data-driven and customer-centric decision-making
  • Take responsibility for managing risk at an engagement level, whilst still focusing on high quality service, and helping others to do the same
  • Coach team members to use relevant methodologies and tools to maximise impact for clients
  • Collaborate with your peers, leveraging the power of the EY network to build solutions to client’s biggest problems
  • Support the leadership in assembling the right team to fit the client brief, anticipating the business objectives and the skillsets necessary to achieve it
  • Work with the Product & Experience Management Practice leadership team, leading a specific topic or focus that develops our practice or works on pursuing new business opportunities , including within existing client engagements
  • Cultivate relationships that can benefit EY and clients, and going beyond our day-to-day work to enhance our presence and impact in the community
