Social Housing Audit Manager - #2111651

Are you an experienced audit professional with a genuine interest in the social purpose sector, looking for a role where your work makes a tangible difference?

• Manage a portfolio of external audit clients across the social housing and wider social purpose sector, delivering a proactive, year-round service and building strong, lasting client relationships
• Lead multiple audit teams simultaneously, ensuring work is planned and completed within agreed budgets and timescales from planning through to completion
• Serve as the principal point of contact for your clients throughout the year, taking ownership of service delivery and relationship management
• Prepare and present reports to senior management, Audit Committees, and Boards
• Direct, coach, and mentor audit team members to support them in the effective delivery of engagements
• Time-plan your own workload and client engagements, managing competing priorities in an organised and professional manner
• Play an active role in business development, maintaining and growing your professional network and contributing to proposals and presentations for new work
• Explore opportunities to provide wider assurance services to clients where appropriate
• Participate in team-wide and firm-wide activities, training, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
• Have the flexibility to develop expertise and portfolio interests beyond social housing, in areas that align with your professional interests

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, or ICAS (or equivalent)
• Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards
• Proven ability to manage audit engagements from planning through to completion, on time and within budget
• Confident people management skills, with experience coaching, mentoring, and supporting junior colleagues
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders including Boards and Audit Committees
• Well-organised, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and competing deadlines
• A proactive approach to business development and relationship management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

• Knowledge and experience of auditing in the not-for-profit, charity, or social housing sector
• Familiarity with the Housing SORP or Charities SORP
• Existing relationships or a network within the social purpose sector
