Senior Inflation PM, Fixed Income-Relative Value Hedge Fund, London - eFinancialCareers - #2112050

We are working with a London-based hedge fund with a focus on fixed income RV strategies. They are largely discretionary, but are currently integrating more systematic strategies, and have a highly collaborative working environment. The fund, not one of the typical multi-strats, are looking to further add divergent alpha. They are looking for highly ambitious risk-takers with large forward potential who are keen to make the most of the opportunity of working alongside highly successful and experienced PMs. The role will involve working in a collaborative environment that takes a highly sophisticated approach to investing, in a comparatively unfettered/uncrowded niche with strong growth prospects.

They have clear and exciting plans for growth. This can lead to exceptional opportunities for individuals joining the business, combined with a culture and structure that allows for true meritocracy, with a huge amount of white space in terms of future career growth.

They are currently looking to bring in additional risk takers and are interested in adding a Portfolio Manager specialising in Inflation to the team. They are not looking for someone to only focus on Inflation and there is freedom in the breadth of products and markets you can trade. That said, they believe in people having a clear core competency and whilst they have people trading Inflation as part of their mandate, they do not have a dedicated Inflation specialist.

Requirements:

1. 5+ years’ experience in trading Inflation using RV and Macro strategies within a hedge fund/buyside firm. Exceptional sellside outliers will be considered.
2. Excellent technical foundation and applied understanding of relevant markets
3. Experience trading with a focus on RV and Macro strategies
4. Clear framework/process in their approach to trading
5. Self-aware and low ego personality who can work and learn proactively and independently.
