About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality and Safeguarding Lead to join a leading drug and alcohol service provider. As part of the Leadership Team, you will drive quality improvement, oversee safeguarding practices, and help embed a culture of continuous learning across services. You will lead audits, safeguarding compliance, incident investigations, quality improvement initiatives, and staff development activities to ensure safe, effective, and compliant service delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead quality improvement and service development initiatives.
Conduct audits of service delivery, governance, and safeguarding practice.
Develop and implement action plans to improve performance and outcomes.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of quality improvement activities.
Provide safeguarding advice, guidance, and support to staff and managers.
Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
Analyse feedback, complaints, safeguarding data, and trends to inform service improvements.
Prepare reports for governance meetings, commissioners, CQC, and Coroners when required.
Deliver safeguarding training, coaching, workshops, and observed practice sessions.
Promote organisational learning and share best practice across services.
Work closely with partner agencies and attend safeguarding forums and case conferences.

To be successful in this role, you will have:Experience within Health, Social Care, Substance Misuse, Mental Health, Housing, or a related sector.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding children, adults at risk, and multi-agency working.
Experience conducting audits, quality reviews, and service improvement projects.
Knowledge of CQC regulations, governance frameworks, and quality assurance systems.
Experience investigating incidents and completing root cause analyses.
Excellent analytical, report-writing, and communication skills.
Experience delivering training, coaching, and workshops.
The ability to influence stakeholders and drive positive change.
A commitment to continuous improvement and better outcomes for service users.

DesirableExperience within drug and alcohol services.
Knowledge of recovery-focused practice.
Experience in change management and project development.
Knowledge of local safeguarding partnerships and statutory processes.
