Job Overview
As Technology Planning & Delivery Lead at Citi, you will serve as the central coordinator for technology investment planning and delivery oversight across the Client Organisation - a group that directly supports revenue growth managing Credit, Marketing, Research, Client Delivery, and Ventures on behalf of Citi's businesses. Sitting within the Client Organisation AI Lead team, you will work directly with senior Technology and business leadership to ensure technology funding decisions are well-informed, priorities are clearly sequenced, and delivery progress is transparently tracked and acted upon throughout the year.

This role is posted in London but is open to applicants with the relevant skillset and experience based in Citi's other European locations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the annual technology investment planning cycle for the Client Organisation, consolidating demand from business pillars and Wholesale Lending activities into a single, prioritised view that reflects strategic priorities and funding constraints.
  • Engage product development leads, investment leads, and Technology partners across the Client Organisation to align planning inputs, agree timelines, and ensure all parties contribute to a consistent planning schedule.
  • Ensure each technology proposal entering the planning process is substantiated by clear business requirements, defined benefits, identified dependencies, and measurable success criteria before submission to the official investment system of record.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform funding prioritisation decisions, and prepare materials that support structured review and challenge sessions with senior leadership.
  • Monitor the delivery of the approved technology portfolio throughout the year, coordinating monthly reporting forums that surface critical alerts, delivery risks, and issues requiring leadership attention and resolution.
  • Represent the Client Organisation at central Technology planning forums, participating in working groups on protocol and tooling changes to ensure the Client Organisation's priorities and constraints are reflected in enterprise-level decisions.
  • Partner with the Organisation PMO team to maintain a two-way link between technology funding decisions and the structuring and governance of Client Organisation-sponsored projects in the project tracking system.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Extended experience in technology programme management or technology business execution within the financial services industry, with a track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder planning or delivery processes in a global organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple senior stakeholders toward a shared timeline and outcome, maintaining momentum and accountability in high-pressure, fast-moving environments.
  • Skilled in data analysis and visualisation, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and hands-on experience building and managing management information dashboards and reporting outputs.
  • Clear and persuasive communicator, able to translate complex technical content into concise, decision-ready messaging for senior business and technology audiences.
  • Self-directed and detail-oriented, with the organisational discipline to manage multiple parallel workstreams and keep administrative processes accurately maintained.
  • Experience working across matrix organisations and cross-functional teams, building effective working relationships across Technology, Finance, and business functions up to and including Managing Director level.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline such as Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Citi's investment planning and project tracking systems, or comparable enterprise-grade tools used to manage technology demand, funding approvals, and portfolio delivery status.
  • Knowledge of the financial services and the activities managed by the Client Organisation model, e.g. Credit management, Marketing, and Research, and how these activities drive or are impacted by technology demand.
  • Awareness of enterprise technology strategy and how central technology planning processes shape investment allocation across large, multi-business organisations.
What We Offer
This role sits at the intersection of technology strategy and business execution within one of the world's leading global financial institutions. You will gain direct exposure to strategic investment decisions at the highest levels of the organisation, develop a deep understanding of how a transversal group within a global organisation manages technology at scale, and build a skillset that spans finance, technology, and AI - an increasingly sought-after combination across the industry.
  • A high-visibility senior individual contributor role with direct interaction with Managing Director-level stakeholders across Technology and business leadership.
  • Significant career development opportunity at the juncture of technology investment management and the implementation of Citi's AI strategy within the Client Organisation.
  • Hybrid working arrangement with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely each week.
  • Access to Citi's global network spanning more than 160 countries and jurisdictions, with the scale and resources of one of the world's largest financial services organisations.
  • Wellbeing support including access to telehealth options, health advocates, and confidential counselling, with coverage tailored by country.
  • Tools and programmes to support your long-term financial wellbeing and future planning.
Apply now to take ownership of technology investment strategy and delivery at a global scale within Citi's Client Organisation.
