Nadson Consulting are currently looking for a Bid Coordinator for a regional principal contractor within central London.
The Bid Coordinator will play a key role in supporting bid activities and maintaining a structured and up-to-date library, ensuring the business can respond efficiently and consistently to competitive opportunities.
Reporting to the Bid Manager (Head Of) the successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to gather information, manage deadlines, and ensure consistency across all bid materials.
The salary range is between £40,000 - £45,000 plus a healthy package, car allowance, pension & holiday.
This role will include a good amount of Hybrid working also.
Key responsibilities
Document control
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the Bid Library, including case studies and CVs
- Store and organise responses and supporting content
- Regularly review and update content to ensure accuracy and relevance
- Work with subject matter experts to refresh and expand library materials
- Implement best practices for document management and accessibility
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all stored content
Coordination
- Review tender documentation and identify key requirements
- Support Writers and key stakeholders with the development of compelling, compliant responses. This will include researching Clients, local initiatives and targets and producing draft written responses
Other duties
- Administration support with disseminating preconstruction communication
- Any other duties deemed reasonable and necessary
Skills and experience
Essential
- Previous experience in a bid coordination or proposals role within the construction or built environment sector
- Understanding of public sector procurement processes (e.g. selection questionnaires, tenders, frameworks, DPS etc.)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent written English with strong editing and proofreading ability
- High attention to detail and document control discipline
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Pro (InDesign)
Desirable
- Experience of maintaining a Bid Library and/or knowledge management systems
- Familiarity with preconstruction portals
- Experience of working in the Construction industry, particularly for planned maintenance, refurbishment, or heritage projects
- Knowledge of construction terminology, drawings, and specifications
- Familiarity with social value requirements and sustainability in public sector bids
