The Opportunity
We are looking for an ambitious and organised Assistant Project Manager to join our growing commercial construction team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2–3 years’ experience in commercial CAT A and CAT B projects who is looking to develop their career and take on greater responsibility within a fast-paced construction environment.
You will work closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team, supporting the successful management and delivery of high-quality commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects.
About the Role
As Assistant Project Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day management of projects from pre-construction through to completion, helping to ensure they are delivered safely, on programme, to budget and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Project Manager with the delivery of commercial CAT A and CAT B projects.
- Assisting with project programmes, procurement and delivery strategies.
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and other project stakeholders.
- Attending site meetings and progress meetings.
- Monitoring project progress, quality and programme.
- Assisting with commercial and financial reporting.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation.
- Supporting the management of variations, valuations and subcontractor accounts.
- Assisting with health & safety and compliance requirements.
- Coordinating with clients, design teams and consultants.
- Helping to identify and resolve project issues before they impact delivery.
- Maintaining accurate project records and documentation.
- Supporting the successful handover and completion of projects.
About You
We are looking for someone who is driven, commercially aware and keen to progress their career within construction.
You will ideally have:
- 2–3 years’ commercial construction experience.
- Experience working on CAT A and CAT B fit-out projects.
- Good understanding of the commercial construction and fit-out process.
- Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- The confidence to communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
- A genuine desire to develop into a Project Manager.
