Consultant Radiologist – Remote Reporting (General Radiology, MSK Interest Preferred)

Medicare4u is recruiting an experienced Consultant Radiologist to provide remote reporting services on behalf of a highly regarded specialist NHS hospital in the South of England. The hospital is rated Good overall with Outstanding for care by the CQC, and is nationally recognised for reconstructive surgery, burns care, head and neck cancer, hand surgery and maxillofacial services.

This is a fully virtual role. You'll report from home via secure online systems, supporting the department's capacity during a period of expansion. There is no on-call commitment.

The role

• Report a wide range of general cross-sectional imaging (CT and MRI) and some plain film to RCR standard
• Take part in regional MDTs virtually
• Liaise with trust clinicians and GPs on clinical queries and escalate critical findings promptly
• Work with admin staff remotely on vetting queries and reporting escalations
• Contribute to the department's REALM meetings online, in line with RCR expectations
• Provide remote mentorship and support to registrars and reporting radiographers where required

Essential requirements

• Full GMC registration with entry on the Specialist Register for Clinical Radiology
• FRCR or equivalent
• Experience across the full range of general radiology
• Reliable, secure home reporting setup (or willingness to set one up)
• Right to work in the UK
