Senior Management Accountant - #2155279

Career Moves is partnering exclusively with a leading international professional services business to recruit an experienced Senior Management Accountant.

This is an initial temporary opportunity with the potential to become permanent, offering the chance to take ownership of month-end reporting, multi-entity consolidations, group reporting and project accounting within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Working closely with senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting business performance and driving month-end excellence across the organisation.

Key Duties

• Take ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely production of management accounts.
• Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, payroll and intercompany entries.
• Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Produce variance analysis and provide commentary on key financial movements.
• Support multi-entity reporting, consolidations and intercompany reconciliations.
• Manage foreign currency accounting, including revaluations and FX adjustments.
• Assist with the preparation of group reporting packs for senior management.
• Support project accounting activities, ensuring revenue, costs and WIP are accurately reported.
• Review financial data, identify anomalies and ensure accurate month-end cut-off procedures.
• Assist with audit requests, compliance reporting and maintenance of strong financial controls.
• Provide support to the wider finance team and help address reporting backlogs or process improvements as required.

Skills & Experience

• Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified by Experience (QBE).
• Proven experience managing month-end close and producing management accounts.
• Strong knowledge of multi-entity accounting, consolidations and intercompany reconciliations.
• Experience with foreign currency accounting and international reporting environments.
• Understanding of project accounting, revenue recognition and WIP.
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation and financial reporting experience.
• Previous experience working within professional services, consultancy, project-led or multi-site businesses.
• Confident user of ERP and finance systems, with the ability to adapt quickly to new environments.
• Able to work independently, prioritise workload and hit deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Immediately available or available at short notice preferred.
