Rate: £250 - £275 per day

Overview This is a temporary assignment for 6 months.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic accounts payable function, ensuring the smooth processing of invoices, expenses, and payments while maintaining a robust internal control environment. Responsibilities

• Manage the accounts payable team to ensure timely processing of invoices, credit card, and personal expenses.
• Oversee payments generated by the Accounts Payable team, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Regularly review pending workflow invoice reports to ensure approvals meet agreed SLA timelines.
• Recommend and implement continuous improvements to existing systems and procedures.
• Establish and maintain a strong internal control environment, working closely with Internal Audit to ensure best practices are followed.
• Monitor and address any breakdowns in internal control procedures.
• Regularly review and update accounts payable procedure notes.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications Must-have skills:

• Proven experience managing an Accounts Payable function.
• Highly motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented.
• Strong team player with a flexible approach.
• Proficient in MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas).
• Confident in SAP.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines under pressure.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Experience with SAP S4/Hana.
• Familiarity with processing and designing Purchase Order systems.

Day-to-Day

• Lead and support the accounts payable team in their daily operations.
• Ensure all invoices and expenses are processed efficiently and accurately.
• Conduct regular reviews of workflows and implement improvements where necessary.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain compliance and best practices.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of excellence.
