The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging, social-first content, with a particular focus on short-form video. Working closely with communications, fundraising and digital colleagues, you will combine strong storytelling skills with video production, editing and design expertise to produce content that captures attention, builds engagement and supports organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing high-quality short-form video content for organic and paid social media channels.
  • Editing engaging social content using motion graphics, captions, sound design and platform-specific best practices.
  • Developing creative content ideas and social media concepts that align with campaign, fundraising and communications priorities.
  • Filming interviews, staff content and other digital assets using lightweight production equipment.
  • Creating digital design assets and static social media content for a variety of channels.
  • Supporting the development of a consistent and engaging social media identity across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across communications and fundraising functions to respond to creative briefs and deliver impactful content.
  • Producing motion graphics, animations and visual assets to enhance digital storytelling.
  • Managing and organising digital assets, content libraries and production workflows.
  • Contributing to content planning, brainstorming sessions and creative discussions.

Key Requirements:

  • Significant experience creating social-first content, with a strong understanding of current social media trends and audience engagement.
  • Proven video production and editing experience, including filming, lighting, audio capture and post-production.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, alongside Canva.
  • Strong motion graphics and digital design skills.
  • Experience creating and adapting content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and other social channels.
  • Excellent storytelling ability and a creative approach to content development.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience working within the charity, not-for-profit, campaigning, advocacy or communications sectors.
  • Understanding of accessible and inclusive design principles.
  • Knowledge of brand marketing and audience engagement strategies.
  • Interest in humanitarian, international or social impact issues.

Application Process

As part of the application process, candidates will be required to submit:

  • An up-to-date CV.
  • A supporting statement outlining experience and motivation for the role.
  • A portfolio showcasing relevant social media content, including examples of short-form video production and editing work.

CVs will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so early applications are strongly encouraged to avoid missing out. If you're interested, please apply ASAP with your CV in Word format, supporting statement and portfolio.
