KS1 Teacher | Barking & Dagenham

Are you an enthusiastic KS1 Teacher looking for a permanent opportunity in Barking & Dagenham? Academics are working with a welcoming primary school that is looking to appoint a committed teacher to join their team from January.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who wants to build strong relationships with pupils, deliver creative lessons and become a valued member of a supportive school community.

The Role

As a KS1 Teacher in Barking & Dagenham, you will take responsibility for creating an engaging classroom where children feel confident, supported and excited to learn. You will plan and deliver lessons across the KS1 curriculum while adapting your approach to ensure every pupil can make progress.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across the KS1 curriculum.
  • Create a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
  • Differentiate learning to support pupils with a range of abilities and needs.
  • Track pupil progress and use assessment to inform future teaching.
  • Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and work collaboratively with the teaching team.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning and achievement.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Previous experience teaching within KS1 is desirable.
  • A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and early primary development.
  • The ability to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A positive, hardworking and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
  • Commitment to supporting every child to reach their potential.
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check if required.
